Regarding membership, donations, or gifts
Acceptance of any contribution, gift, grant, or membership is at the discretion of Imaike Library Club. Imaike Library Club will not accept any of the above unless it can be used or expended consistently with the purpose and mission of Imaike Library Club.
No irrevocable gift, donation, or membership amount, whether outright or life-income in character, will be accepted if under any reasonable set of circumstances the gift would jeopardize the donor’s financial security.
Imaike Library Club will accept donations of cash or via PayPal. Gifts of in-kind services such as books or materials/stationary needed to run the library will be accepted at the discretion of Imaike Library Club.
Certain other gifts, real property, personal property, in-kind gifts, non-liquid securities, and contributions whose sources are not transparent or whose use is restricted in some manner, must be reviewed prior to acceptance due to the special obligations raised or liabilities they may pose for Imaike Library Club.
Imaike Library Club will respect the intent of the donor relating to gifts for restricted purposes and those relating to the desire to remain anonymous. With respect to anonymous gifts, Imaike Library Club will restrict information about the donor to only those staff members/volunteers with a need to know.
Imaike Library Club will not compensate, whether through commissions, finders’ fees, or other means, any third party for directing a member, a gift, or a donor to Imaike Library Club.

Imaike Library Club believes that privacy is important to the success and use of the Internet. This statement sets forth Imaike Library Club’s policy and describes the practices that we will follow with respect to the privacy of the information of users of this site. What Personal Information We Collect
Imaike Library Club collects your personal information online when you voluntarily provide it to us by either becoming a library member, by making a donation, or by entering your personal information on the website. If you choose to become a member, an account will be automatically created for you and stored on the website. Upon making an account, we ask you to provide limited personal information, such as your name and email address. At the time of registration, a password will be generated and sent automatically to the email address you provided. We do not have access to your password information. That being said, we have no idea how your password is stored or retrieved. That’s the magic of the website. We believe that this is done in a secure way, but, as always, there probably is a risk of this information getting hacked somehow. Although I doubt anyone would be interested in such mundane information check out books from a local library.

If you become a member of Imaike Library Club, and thereby creating an account, you may review and change your personal information by logging in to your account on the Member Login page.
How We Use Personal Information That We Collect Online
Internal Uses
We may use your personal information within Imaike Library Club: (1) to contact you about your membership if, for example, there’s a problem or issue; (2) to answer questions about our services, billing, payment methods or use of our website; (3) to process or collect payments for our services, (4) to conduct membership surveys; (5) to contact you about the services that we offer; and (6) offer you coupons or let you know about special offers.
Note: All online payments are processed through PayPal, and we do not store for have any access to your financial details.
Disclosure of Personal Information to Third Parties
We will not disclose any personal information to any third party (excluding other entities under Imaike International Clubs (such as Imaike Get Together and Science Club, etc.) to whom we may provide such information for the limited purpose of providing information about services and offers for you and who are obligated to keep the information confidential), unless (1) you have authorized us to do so; (2) we are legally required to do so, for example, in response to a subpoena, court order or other legal process and/or, (3) it is necessary to protect our property rights related to this website.
Cookie Placement
Imaike Library Club, like many other commercial sites, may use a standard technology called “cookies” to collect information about how our site is used. Cookies were designed to help a website operator determine that a particular user had visited the site previously and thus save and remember any preferences that may have been set. We may use cookies to keep track of information about your current web browsing session which will be discarded as soon as you log out or close your web browser. Imaike Library Club uses the services of Google Analytics, and may use other similar services, to collect and analyze statistical data about visitors to our website. These analytic services do not collect personally identifiable information. How We Protect Information Online
We exercise great care to protect your personal information. This includes, among other things, using industry standard techniques such as firewalls, encryption, and intrusion detection. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us or receive from us. This is especially true for information you transmit to us via email since we have no way of protecting that information until it reaches us since email does not have the security features that are built into our websites.
In addition, we limit Imaike Library Club’s volunteers and event organizers’ access to personal information. Only those volunteers and event organizers with a business reason to know have access to this information. We educate our volunteers and event organizers about the importance of maintaining confidentiality of customer information.
We review our security arrangements from time to time as we deem appropriate.

This site and its components are offered for informational purposes only; this site shall not be responsible or liable for the accuracy, usefulness or availability of any information transmitted or made available via the site, and shall not be responsible or liable for any error or omissions in that information.
Intellectual Property
This site and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Clean Shoji (inc.), Imaike International Clubs and Imaike Library Clubs and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws.
Advertiser Relationship
We may place ads on a limited number of pages in order to help fund the running costs of Imaike Library Club.
Payment Policy
We offer online payment services through PayPal. Through PayPal, users have the option of using their PayPal account, or using a credit card to pay (which is processed through PayPal, but doesn’t require a PayPal account). PayPal’s privacy policy can be found here. You may cancel you membership anytime you wish, but your cancellation will not be retroactive. For example, if you signed up for a one-month subsription of August 28, but decided to cancel on August 30, we will keep the one-month fee and you are still free to use the library until September 28. However, even if you choose to not use the library between August 28 – September 28, we will still keep the payment. Any subsequent payments will be cancelled.
Termination Clause
You are free to terminate (and thus deleting all information associated with your account) at any time from the Member Login page in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation. If you do so, we will also manually delete your email and username registered on our site within 1 week from your deletion. In addition, we may terminate your access to the site, without cause or notice, which may result in the forfeiture and destruction of all information associated with your account. All provisions of this agreement that, by their nature, should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.
Notifications of change to this document
Imaike Library Club reserves the right to change these conditions from time to time as it sees fit and your continued use of the site will signify your acceptance of any adjustment to these terms. If there are any changes to our privacy policy, we will announce that these changes have been made on the membership page. If there are any changes in how we use our site customers’ Personally Identifiable Information, notification by email will be made to those affected by the change. Any changes to our privacy policy will be posted on our site 30 days prior to these changes taking place. You are therefore advised to re-read this statement on a regular basis.
